Did anyone happen to be at this year's Tokyo Game Show? Well, for all those who weren't lucky enough to go and get a hands-on experience with Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Konami is releasing the TGS demo on PSN on December 13 for one and all.

The demo is said to feature a virtual reality level that acts as a tutorial;  guiding players through the controls of Raiden's blade, which acts as the main element of the game. The simulation will have players slicing virtual watermelon and will end with a boss fight that promises to test the player's newly discovered skills. The deadly LQ-84i AKA 'Bladewolf' will stand in the way of the demo's completion, forcing players to defeat the robotic intelligent canine with a chainsaw for a tail to move on. If that sounds extreme, it's probably because you forgot we were talking about Metal Gear.

There's been no news on any demo coming to Xbox Live but players can rest assured that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be coming to Xbox 360 as well as PS3 when it hits store shelves February 19, 2013.

It may sound like the end but we've got a bonus story for Metal Gear fans. Japan is set to receive a Metal Gear Rising special edition Playstation 3 console next year. The console will feature the same model as the newest version of the PS3 released in North America earlier this year but will feature a unique blue top with a few Japanese symbols as well as a basic Metal Gear Rising logo in silver.

The console will also come with a special see-through blue controller as well as a copy of the game and a handful of free downloadable extras including a unique 'Grey Fox' in-game skin and a Metal Gear Rising Playstation theme.

The console will sell for 31, 960 ¥, which comes up to around $400 for those of us in North America, and is set to release in very limited quantities February 21, 2013.
