You know that little animated lamp that turns it head around a lot while hopping all across the screen to stomp out the "I" in the Pixar logo? You know, the one that appears before the movie starts? No? Well, it's kind of hard to believe that you haven't seen a Pixar movie where the lamp did its whole stomping act, but I'm not one to judge.

For those of you who have seen it anyway, then you're about to see it do almost the same thing in real-life. I say 'almost' because it can do everything--from turning its head lamp to flicking it on and off--except hop.

Pretty amazing mod, isn't it? This lamp is called 'Pinokio' and it was built by Shanshan Zhou, Adam Ben-Dror, and Joss Doggett. They fitted six servos into a desk lamp, stuck a webcam in into it somewhere, and used a custom Arduino program to make the whole thing work.

Guys, how about making that talking dog collar that the pooches on Up wore for your next project? Now that would be way cooler.
