‘Thor: The Dark World’ Set Photos Offer First Look at Malekith and the Dark Elves

Pride was Thor's downfall in the first movie, so obviously it's not a mistake he's going to be repeating anytime soon. However, new set photos from Thor: The Dark World show a badly cut and beaten-looking Chris Hemsworth, so what (or rather, who) has managed to bring him down to his knees once more?

If you guessed Loki, then guess again, because while Thor's little brother will be back for the sequel, someone else is wreaking havoc in the universe. If you guessed Malekith the Accursed, then you're spot on.

For months, people have been speculating on the sequel's villain, and now you can check out what he and his minions look like in the gallery above. They're not lookers, although it looks like Thor's having a hard time fending off Malekith and his legions of Dark Elves.
