With all these videos of proposals going viral on the Internet, guys are definitely feeling the pressure when it's time for them to pop the question to their girlfriends. Some do it with memes, others do the classic on-bended-knee proposal, while others pretend to be dead.

Yes, you read that right. There's a douche who thinks that it's apparently creative to proposal to your girlfriend by making her think that you're dead. The groom-to-be is named Alexey Bykov, and he's a 30-year-old businessman who decided that the only way to propose is to make his girl think he was a goner.

Here's what he did: Alexey had a crew of people working with him to make it look like he had died in some grisly car accident. When his girlfriend arrived at the scene, he was lying there covered in blood surrounded by ambulances and paramedics and busted-up cars. Of course she cried and was probably in hysterics--until he stood up and asked her to marry him.

She said yes, although she did contemplate on killing him 'for real' for his little stunt. He's lucky he got off with a joking threat and a yes to his proposal. Most women I know would probably kick the guy in the nuts first for doing such a stupid thing.

Asked why he did it, Alexey explained:

I wanted her to realise how empty her life would be without me and how life would have no meaning without me. I think it worked but I promise it's the last time.

That seems pretty thick-headed on his part. But here's a thought: what if his girlfriend had simply shrugged and walked away from the scene? I'd think Alexey would wish that he were dead for real.
