Is Pastor Maldonado A Danger To Other Formula 1 Drivers?

After crashing out of the British Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon, Sauber driver Sergio Perez labelled William's Pastor Maldonado a liability and called for the stewards to come down heavily on the Colombian.

Harsh words from the Mexican, especially when he dropped the words "stupid" and "dangerous" to describe him.

On the 12th lap at Silverstone, Perez's car was systematically pushed off track by Maldonado as they battled for the corner with Formula One later fining him, but it doesn't feel like any of their punishment is being felt.

But this isn't the first time that Pastor has got into trouble, so is he now becoming a danger to other people on the podium? Let's take a look back at his previous misdemeanours.

Italian F300 - Pastor participated in the seven raced Spanish-based World series by Renault, but  his participation was marred with a four-race ban for dangerous driving. He received this for failing to slow down at the scene of an accident at Monaco, despite the waving of flags and then he struck and seriously injured a marshal.

Belgian Grand Prix, 2011 - As Lewis Hamilton headed down one of Grand Prix's fastest straights, Eau Rouge, Maldonado looked to swipe across the English driver. If they had made contact there would have been terrible damage to both the cars and drivers with the Colombian receiving a five-place grid penalty for his efforts.

Abu Dhabi, 2011 - Given a 30-second time penalty after the race for ignoring blue flags.

Spanish, 2012 - Finally wins his first ever Grand Prix in Spain, doing battle with double world champion Fernando Alonso throughout and finally coming out on top and taking the chequered flag.

Monaco, 2012 - In his next match he received a ten-place grid penalty for causing an avoidable collision with Sergio Perez during a practice session.
