First Trailer for ‘Lawless’ Starring Shia LaBeouf Now Online (VIDEO)

When Shia LaBeouf's not saving the world from alien robots with allies who also happen to be alien robots, he's shooting it out in the wild, wild west. LaBeouf stars in Lawless, an action-filled Western that made its debut at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

There's a lot of gun slinging action, gangsters, and sibling loyalty in Lawless, which is based on Matt Bondurant's book called 'The Wettest County in the World.' You can check out more previews by watching the first released trailer for the movie in the player above.

Lawless is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic gangster tale, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation's most notorious crime wave.

Directed by John Hillcoat, Lawless stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman, and Mia Wasikowska, and hits theaters on August 29th.
