They say that at some point in a woman's pregnancy, the fetus can hear what's going on outside the womb. This is why some overachieving moms that want to raise the next Einstein or Gershwin play Mozart so that it will effect their brains or something. There is some evidence that this is true. I don't know. My mom listed to old 70's salsa records when I was in utero and I am plenty smart. But for those preggos that want to make sure the fetus gets the maximum sound experience, there is Babypod, the speaker that goes inside the vagina. You just slip it in and play whatever mind expanding music you want. Their literature says,
"Babies learn to speak in response to sound stimuli, especially melodic sound. Babypod is a device that stimulates before birth through music. With Babypod, babies learn to vocalize from the womb"
This is such a load of crap. Mainly because all kinds of factors both genetic and environmental go into making a Stephen Hawking or a Beethoven. And not every affluent White kid in the West can be a genius. In fact most of them are annoying little jackasses.
