Sure, the lingerie was nice, the models were glowing, and the wings were back in action, but it may have been the music that kept this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show from flatlining. From Missy Elliott to Madison Beer, here’s a rundown of the performances that had us actually paying attention between outfit changes.

Missy Elliott – The Legend Returns
Missy Misdemeanor Elliott hit the stage like she owned the entire franchise, closing the show with a medley of her biggest hits, Missy brought more energy in five minutes than half the models managed all night.

Madison Beer – The Angelic Voice We Needed
Madison Beer’s performance was pure fantasy, ethereal lighting, soft vocals, and that perfect VS aesthetic. She looked like she was the perfume ad everyone wants to be trapped in. A little sultry, a little dreamy, and just the right amount of tease.

TWICE – The Surprise We Didn’t Know We Needed
Yes, K-pop has officially entered the VS universe. TWICE brought the sparkle, the choreography, and the kind of coordinated cuteness that only nine women in perfect sync can deliver. It was playful, catchy, and weirdly refreshing in a sea of lace and slow walks.

Karol G – The Fire Starter
Karol G didn’t come to play — she came to heat things up. Her set was all hips, confidence, and attitude, and she had the crowd moving like it was a club, not a catwalk. Easily one of the most entertaining moments of the night.
