‘The LEGO Movie’ Characters Star in Turkish Airlines Safety Video… For Some Reason (VIDEO)

Since odds are good that you'll never find yourself on a Turkish Airlines flight, I thought I'd do you all a kindness and bring you this new safety video produced by the airline featuring characters from The LEGO Movie universe. Having racked up over a quarter of a million views in under 24 hours, it's clear that this is the best thing to ever happen to Turkish Airlines.

It seems hard to believe, but February's release of The LEGO Movie 2 will mark five years since the release of the first film. It's mainly difficult to believe because we've been inundated with LEGO Movies ever since then. While The LEGO Batman Movie had its charms and was a mostly enjoyable meta-commentary on the character's rather ridiculous history, neither it or the substantially less enjoyable LEGO Ninjago Movie have come close to living up to the original.

Kudos to Turkish Airlines for finally making an airline safety video worth watching. It may not be the best arena in which to break new ground, but there's no denying it's nice to see at least one airline cares. Now, to book a trip to Turkey so I can see this video the way it was meant to be seen.
