Hollywood has officially run out of new ideas again, which means it was only a matter of time before The ’Burbs came back from the dead.
The trailer just dropped for the new series remake of The ’Burbs, the cult-classic 1989 suburban paranoia comedy that made us all suspicious of our neighbors, their basements, and anyone who owned too many shovels.
And now it’s been reborn. As a show. In 2026. Because nostalgia is the strongest drug known to mankind.
The original movie worked because it was weird, uncomfortable, funny, and just unhinged enough to feel like a bad dream you couldn’t stop watching. Suburban dads losing their minds. Rumors spiraling into full-blown paranoia. Everyone overreacting to literally nothing… or maybe something… who knows.
The trailer for the series version leans hard into that same energy, quiet streets, overly friendly neighbors, subtle creepiness, and that familiar feeling that something is definitely off… even if nobody can prove it yet.
The original was amazing, let's see how much we can stand this new series remake and if it can live up to the hype.
Here's the trailer!
