Detroit Lion Calvin Johnson is a 6'5" freak of nature. Guys his size don't normally have the ability to do what he does. That's why he led the league in receiving yards and gets paid the most money. Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals is 6'3" and does things a lot of guys can't imagine doing on a football field as well, and Randy Moss is another lanky star.

But the truth is that guys don't have to be huge to produce huge numbers when it comes to catching the ball. Sure hands, crisp route running and speed all make a receiver stand out. New England's Wes Welker has the most catches in the league over the last five years and he's a few inches below six feet.

Check out Wes and five other wide receivers who don't stand in the back row of the team photos, but are at the top of the league leaders for receiving.
