Scientists Take First Steps Towards Terminators

Deluded scientists have decided that it's a good idea to take steps towards inventing terminators. Now, this isn't me indulging in hyperbole. The scientists admit that they were "inspired by fictional cyborgs like the Terminator." What they have created is cybernetic organisms on a microscopic levels. Obviously, at that size it can't kill you. Except that in the future scientists think that "It is very possible that Terminator of the future would need to be constructed starting from such building blocks". But we're not talking about the Arnold Schwarzenegger T-100. Oh no, this is the T-1000 that can regenerate at will with these cybernetic building blocks. They would be pretty much invincible. I mean, we already have drones that roam the skies just like the hunter-killer helicopters dispatched by Skynet. For a bunch of smart people these scientists sure are stupid.

Scientists are all about coulda not shoulda.
