New ‘Twin Peaks’ Teaser Reintroduces Some Familiar Faces (VIDEO)

The countdown to Twin Peaks returning to the air is nearly over, and as we're ready to travel back to the most twisted town in all the land two weeks from Sunday. In anticipation of the 18-episode limited series return, Showtime has been releasing some short teasers packed with stuff that's sure to send fans into a tizzy. The last promo we saw shone the spotlight on familiar locations, and now they've put some familiar characters in the spotlight in this latest teaser. 

Among the faces we get briefly reacquainted with are Grace Zabriskie's Sarah Palmer, Everett McGill's Big Ed, Harry Dean Stanton's Carl Rodd (from the film Fire Walk With Me), and of course, Kyle MacLachlan's Agent Dale Cooper. It's honestly hard for me not to think of MacLachlan as the mayor of Portlandia, but I imagine that it won't take long into the series for me to forget all about that.
