New ‘Fancy Lads and Where to Find Them 2’ Trailer Doubles Down on Depp (VIDEO)

The upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald—or as we like to call it Fancy Lads and Where to Find Them 2—is cranking up its hype machine for its November release, and this newest trailer for the film proves that this film is gonna be chock full of Johnny Depp.

If, like me, you saw the first flick in the wake of the 2016 election, it's likely you've more or less forgotten all about it at this point. It's probably slipped your mind at this point that Eddie Redmayne is indeed the fanciest lad on the face of the earth, and he faced off against Colin Farrell, who turned out to be Johnny Depp in disguise—which many of us had suspected since Farrell's career first began.

Anyone who thought that this whole Fantastic Beasts spinoff trilogy might actually tread new ground will be disappointed to learn that the whole thing is shaping up to be another gigantic magical battle against Wizard Hitler. It's the role Depp was born to play, he can be hammy and accessorize all at the same time.

Ah well, we can always lament over what could have been, in the meantime, I guess, we'll just have to get used to the fact that Depp's gonna be substantially involved in this flick because he needs to lay the groundwork for his evil "wipe out all the muggles" plan.

Fancy Lads and Where to Find Them 2 opens on November 16.
