There’s a thin line between being a cool parent and Casey Anthony. I don’t think Miley Cyrus’ mom wants to murder that annoying twerk bunny she calls her daughter, but the idea may pop into her head every time Miley makes headlines for another outlandish attention seeking stunt. I’m not against chiefing reefer, but I do believe the activity still requires some etiquette. There are just some people you’re never supposed to smoke with, and your mom happens to be one of them. It’s weird being passed a preroll from the same woman who owns the womb from which you came. I’d expect behavior like that from single mother stripper families in Florida.

After announcing her decision to take a break from smoking weed, Miley Cyrus has started again.

In a new interview with The Sun published Sunday, the 26-year-old singer revealed she and her "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart"collaborator Mark Ronson "toke a little" every now and then and that her mom was the one to get her back into it.

"My mom got me back on it," she told the publication. "When I'm just working, I don't think I function at my highest, most intelligent, most being-able-to-be-as-aware-and- as-present, so I don't smoke when I work."

Cyrus revealed she hadn't smoked weed in three weeks and opened up about her decision to quit "for a second."

"I like to surround myself with people that make me want to get better, more evolved, open," she explained. "And I was noticing, it's not the people that are stoned. I want to be super clear and sharp, because I know exactly where I want to be."

Miley’s mother being the main person encouraging her to toke hash instead of take her career seriously explains a lot. Cyrus is just misunderstood and lacked decent role models growing up. Rubbing her love-rabbit all over a subpar R&B singer at the VMAs and then choosing the Easter Bunny to be her furry dominatrix were all cries for help. I feel like we’ve failed Miley as a society. And our punishment is being forced to listen to the horrible songs of a woman who has modeled her entire aesthetic after a Filipino twink.
