The Penn State Board of Trustees have voted to remove the statue of late football coach Joe Paterno, according to tweets from two different reporters. First is Penn State grad Kim Jones, who works for the NFL Network.

Adding to that was CBS' Bonnie Bernstein.

It seems that Penn State might finally be hearing the public outcries for the removal of the statue.

I guess that means they'll be taking down his name in that picture as well, but at the very least they need to make sure 'humanitarian' gets pulled off that wall.

Deadspin updated saying that a member of the Board of Trustees said they never took a vote, so who knows? I can't imagine anyone at Penn State denying something.
