Look we're still totally stuck on the hours of bonus gameplay we're going to be getting via the Spartan Ops component of Halo 4. The news broken by Little English Halo Blog that we're getting new vehicles in the next game only adds to the excitement. The two don't necessarily go together, mind you, but there seems to be a ton of content and new items intended to get folks excited.

We learned that the Spartan Ops themselves are going to be taking place in familiar surroundings that you will have just run through (if you power through the game on day one) but still be fresh and unexplored. Our understanding is, you'll be getting a deeper exploration of one of the UNSC capital ships shown in the main campaign and interacting closely with characters that have been mentioned or referenced in the main campaign. The idea of suddenly being to see and battle with folks and in areas that you've only been able to glimpse or pass by is easily one of the most promising concepts behind Spartan Ops.

As far as vehicles go, we're betting on one ground and one flying vehicle both of which originate with the new enemies in the game. The Prometheans surely must use something to get themselves from A to B and if the new "ancient" enemy turns out to be something other than the Covenant or other UNSC forces (don't act like you haven't thought about that) those bad guys must need trucks too. Or not.

Look for the speculation on Halo 4 to heat up as we close in on the November launch. It's like a political campaign where you know you're going to like the results because you're the big winner.
