Borderlands 2 is only days away and we're all getting pretty excited over here. The overall hype for Borderlands 2 since it was originally announced has been palpable. First we heard about this new colorful cast of characters, then this new area of Pandora began to unravel as we learned about new environments and enemies, then finally we learned that a mysterious fifth character would be joining the new cast as the 'Mechromancer'. We later discovered leaked images of this unnamed Mechromancer, whom we now know as Gaige.

Gaige will be available October 16 for Xbox 360 and PS3 for $9.99 or 800 MSP but will be included for free as part of the Premium Club Membership given to those who pre-order the game at participating retailers. Basically, if you haven't pre-ordered Borderlands 2 yet you should really get on that...like ASAP.

Gaige stands out from the rest as a young girl whom is accompanied by her very large robotic companion 'Death Trap' who has only previously been revealed through artwork for the game. She will apparently feature a much less complex skill tree than her allies and is meant to appeal more to players whom are new to the series.

Gearbox has also announced they will be releasing an additional four campaign expansion DLCs that will be available periodically after the game's release of September 18. They will each retail for the same price as the Necromancer but you can save yourself some cash by picking up the season pass for $30 when the game hits store shelves.

Do yourself a favor...pre-order Borderlands 2. You know it's the right thing to do...
