Since the advent of achievements and trophies, there have been achievement/trophy hunters. These renegade badasses from the depths of the Devil's ass CANNOT be tamed, and won't rest until they've completed every little challenge their games have to offer. However inane/effin' useless/Grandma-punchingly difficult.

Some of us live for those messages 'bing-ing' up at the bottom of our TV screens. Some of us are entirely indifferent to their existence. And others are just deeply dedicated, mad, mad bastards. Mr. One Million himself, Stallion83, for instance.

As Xboxers will know, each Achievement grants you a certain amount of Gamerscore, kinda sorta based on its perceived difficulty. Your total yield --sometimes after busting a nut in the process-- will generally be 1000. Which means, as anybody who's read Math for Dumbasses will know, this guy has been getting his game on. And on and on. From a meager, half-assed 500,000 in 2010, to this.

Now, ‘hero' is a strong word. We don't know if Stallion83 has ever stopped a baby carriage from rolling into the path of a careering SUV, or singlehandedly rescued some pensioners from a hostage situation. But we suppose 'marathoning video games in your undercrackers at 3am' is right up there. Several years well spent.

The (still) world record score was attained live earlier this week, Kotaku reports.
