Getting something for free, huh? That’s a glass-half-full sort of situation right there. The cynical old bastards among us will tell you that nothing’s truly free in this world. And if it is, you don’t want it, like an STD or an abandoned crack house left to you by your rich great uncle Gilbert who hated your ass.

As for me, I’m not an optimist as such, but I take what I can get. In the case of Xbox’s Games With Gold and PS Plus, I guess you have to appreciate the monthly offerings. They’re not really free, natch, as we’re already paying for our subscription, but still. It’s a nice lil’ perk, and we all like perky things.

Earlier this week, we had ourselves an ogle at the titles Games with Gold has for us this November. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition, Super Dungeon Bros… An interesting lineup whichever way you slice it. So, PlayStation, your move. What have you got coming our way this November?

The biggest deal this month is probably Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, the super artsy Journey-esque mystery from The Chinese Room. It’s joined on PS4 by The Deadly Tower of Monsters, a sci-fi-tastic adventure from Atlus. Down PS3 way, both Costume Quest 2 and DiRT 3 are up for download.

The Vita is also kinda sorta barely still a thing too, and it’s got a couple offerings of its own in Letter Quest Remastered and Pumped BMX+. All in all, that’s a grab bag of genres if ever I’ve seen one, and you can get in on it from next week if anything piques your interest.
