Happy Canada Day, guys. It's the only day a year where bacon is ham, maple syrup is a beverage, you can go out and aboot in a boot, and everyone's a hoser. Or whatever.

America's hat Canada is occasionally known as Hollywood North because we rely so heavily on their cheap, expendable labor and their calorie-rich gravy fries to fuel American movie productions. Even better, their greatest exports are the offbeat and whacked-out comedians like young Martin Short, young Mike Meyers, and the late great John Candy. Despite all of the Canadian resources that we exploit, they've managed to make some pretty boss movies of their own. Here are five worth watching.
