Avril Lavigne Takes the Cover of Basic Magazine!

Avril Lavigne, or Melissa as most of us call her, is taking the cover of the latest issue of Basic Magazine. This is the same magazine we saw miss Megan Fox on the cover of a few months ago and now it's Avril's turn!

The singer was shot by photographer Viktorija Pashuta and spoke to the magazine about her musical journey and how early in her career she had an issue with showing up for photoshoots and being expected to wear frilly clothes.

"I would show up to photo shoots and they had racks of clothes I didn’t want to wear. I was like, gross, I am not wearing this pink frilly shirt. I would fight with the editors and there was always drama. I just wanted to wear my necktie!"
