I remember rocking a pair of Pumas in the 6th grade and getting mocked mercilessly for it. I may as well have been wearing Roos. Nevertheless, Puma has reinvigorated its image by hiring sexy babes like Adriana Lima to pimp their sneakers and make them seem like the absolute height of sneaker fashion. Adriana Lima is just hanging around the boxing gym in her Pumas and some sexy workout gear and it's got me wanting to risk mockery and get another pair of Pumas.

I don't know if Adriana Lima has ever actually stepped into the ring to fight someone, but she certainly looks like a formidable opponent. I wouldn't want to come up against her, and not just because she's a woman and I have this silly rule I follow about not hitting women. No, I wouldn't want to come up against her because I have zero ability in the ring and have nothing to offer in any kind of sanctioned bout.

So put on your Pumas, America, and bask in the glow of being with the times for once, provided you've hung on to them. If not, the new ones are gonna set you back a pretty penny, but the old ones will give you serious street cred if you've still got them.
