First “X-Men: Apocalypse” Pics Look Goofy

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and if that is true then the thousand words I'd use to describe X-Men: Apocalypse is goofy. Entertainment weekly released some pics of the upcoming film and they are, in a word, disheartening. I mean, Olivia Munn in her Psylocke costume that is so tight that she had to be lubed up to get in it is a beautiful thing. However, Storm's mohawk just looks weird. Like, it looks like a bald cap even if it wasn't. But Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse takes the silly crown. He looks less like an intimidating foe and more like one of the bad guys from the old Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show. All bad makeup and rubber armor.

This is not to say that Isaac, who is a really good actor, can't play the part, but merely that an actor can only do so much. It's hard to emote through purple kabuki makeup. Of course, even if the movie does turn out to be silly I'm still going to see. Like I said, Olivia Munn's Psylocke costume is TIGHT.
