Just yesterday we got word that a new Joker origin film was being made and would reside outside of the current DC Extended Universe canon. Well, now we're getting word that an in-canon, in-universe Joker and Harley Quinn movie is being planned, and nothing about it sounds even remotely worth getting excited about.

That's right folks, in addition to a Suicide Squad 2 and Gotham City Sirens, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto will be reprising their roles as Gotham City's first couple of maniacal behavior in a film from Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the team behind Crazy, Stupid Love, NBC's This is Us, and the original Bad Santa. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that this film would be existing within the currently established DC Extended Universe, unlike the new Joker origin film and Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman—more to come on that in another article later today.

THR's article quotes an insider as saying that the film will be "an insane and twisted love story. When Harry Met Sally on benzedrine." Great, so it'll be Bonnie & Clyde on stupid pills. Can't wait. The only way this is any good is if they get Thurman Merman in there, mixing it up. Hell, get the Fraggle Stick Car kid in there too. Who cares? Honestly, there's no way this is a good idea, as good as Margot Robbie was in Suicide Squad, the mere presence of Leto cancels out anything good that's gonna happen in this movie.
