Unless you've seen the 'Meet the Pyro' trailer for Team Fortress 2 that Valve released yesterday, you probably are thinking 'Travis is off his meds again'. I'll have you know I am well medicated and the Balloonicorn is real! It's not going to help my case, however, if you don't watch the trailer so check it out on Team Fortress' Youtube channel.

In this trailer, among other things, is a scene in which you see that the Pyro sees the world through a very...filtered lens. While he's dousing the world in flame and burning people to death, he's actually seeing rainbows and lollipops...and the Balloonicorn!

The Pyro's 'hallucination land' is the essence of the inner working's of a 14 year old girl's mind, with all shades of pink and purple (middle aged men in diapers is an exception) but it's the Balloonicorn that really steals the show towards the end of the trailer. Apparently Valve saw how intense the Balloonicorn was and has decided to sell it in their store.

That's right, you can head over to The Valve Store and pick up your very own hallucination-inspired fantasy creature for $29.99.

Liked Balloonicorn so much in the Pyromania Update that you'd like to take him home with you? Because Balloonicorn could really use a place to crash at for a bit (one, two weeks max), he's going through a bit of a rough patch right now. Also, you totally won't even know he's there. Hey, look, also, could you pick Balloonicorn up some smokes on the way home? He's good for it, he's just waiting to get some money wired to him. -The Valve Store

If he's (that's right, HE) a little too expensive for your taste, Valve also offers iPhone cases and the like for fans who want to take a little piece of Team Fortress with them wherever they go. I should stress though that Mr. Balloonicorn is listed as being 13' tall on the Valve Store...that's feet, not inches.
