Hope you didn't have plans to travel to Las Vegas for UFC 151, especially if the tickets are non-refundable. For the first time in its history, UFC had to cancel an event. Heavyweight contender Dan Henderson jacked up his knee during training, leaving him unable to fight Champion Jon Jones. Chael Sonnen was going to fill in, but Jones said no thanks and that infuriated UFC honcho, Dana White.

White called Jones decision 'selfish' and 'disgusting' during a tense press conference.

We've never, ever had a fighter refuse to fight somebody, especially a fighter who is a world champion as well as one of the top pound-for-pound guys in the world. It's baffling to me, and I've never seen it before.

Let's not be fooled here. UFC is losing money so it's understandable why White is pissed off. Pay Per View money, ticket sales, merchandise, we're not talking chump change. Not to mention all the money already spent on advertising and other promotions.

On the other hand, these guys train to prepare for specific opponents. Jone was reportedly leery about taking on Sonnen on eight days notice. Jones did agree to defend his belt against Lyoto Machida on September 22 in Toronto.

But the fact is, as White pointed out, UFC is losing 'millions and millions' of dollars. He also made sure that everyone was aware that the guys fighting on the undercard got screwed out of money they aren't earning, as well as money they spent on training.
