Tupac Lives In The Trailer For All Eyez On Me

I'm a man of a certain age so I was in my formative teen years when Tupac Shakur was on the ascendancy. We had heard hardcore rap from the West Coast before, of course. But Tupac had a way with words that other rappers just didn't have. His life was tragically cut short when he was murdered in a still unsolved case. Or was he? For years people have speculated that he's still alive. He's the Elvis of the 90's. Still, assuming he is dead he's been brought back to life like a thug Jon Snow in the new movie All Eyez On Me. It chronicles his life from his troubled childhood when his Black activist mother was thrown in jail to the temptations of fame and fortune. I don't know where they got the guy who plays Tupac but he looks just like him.

The filmmakers are banking that this movie will be as successful as last year's Straight Outta Compton. If it is of the same quality as that movie it's a distinct possibility.
