Fans of Tiger Woods probably wish that they could jump into a time machine, go back to the day before his scandal broke, and transport the unbeatable version of their favorite golfer to now. However, fans of the game probably don't mind there being a little mystery week in and week out either.

This week it was hard to tell exactly what version of Tiger was playing at the AT&T National. He didn't play poorly. He wasn't lights out either. This time around Tiger was just good enough to win.

After shooting a 1-over 72 in the first round Tiger crept into contention with a 3-under 68 during the second. His best day (4-under 67) came in the third when no spectators were allowed on the course due to debris from the previous day's storm.

Fans were allowed back on Sunday for the final round hoping to see one of two things, either Tiger maintaining a solid level of play or Tiger imploding like he's been prone to of late. What they got was a Tiger that was good enough to win.

Bo Van Pelt moved into a tie with Tiger after a birdie on No. 11 at 8-under for the tournament. Going into the final two holes they remained tied at 8-under; Tiger parred the final two and Van Pelt bogeyed both to fall to 6-under making Tiger the winner.

The win gave Tiger three on the year and 74 for his career passing the legendary Jack Nicklaus for second on the all-time career list (eight behind Sam Snead).
