Suicide Squad comes out today and the reviews have been...disappointing. It appears that all those reshoots that the studio forced director David Ayer to make only hurt the film. Fans of the movie are calling for venerated movie review site Rotten Tomatoes to be taken down because they didn't like the movie. But it is not the first, nor the last, highly anticipated superhero film that set off this kind of controversy. I remember when Zack Snyder's version of the legendary comic book The Watchmen came out and similar fights occurred. I know people who think The Watchmen is the greatest superhero movie ever made while others say it is one of the worst. Many others think like I do that it is just meh. There is no doubt that Snyder can make a flashy movie, but his films often lack substance. That's what many people thought about The Watchmen.
