Now that Tim Tebow has been shipped off to New York, one of his former receivers in Denver is speaking out about what players were thinking during Tebow-mania.

Demaryius Thomas, the guy who caught the 80-yard overtime touchdown pass against Pittsburgh in the playoffs, pulled back the curtain during a radio interview on 790 The Zone in Atlanta with the 2 Live Stews, with SportsRadioInterviews.com posting the transcription.

Thomas said that he didn't want to talk bad about Tebow, but he went ahead anyway and said some things that would be considered bad.

When asked about his feelings when Tebow was traded to the Jets, Thomas said,

It's a business decision. I ain't going to say I was sad because the only thing they remember is that pass. You gotta go back and look at the rest of the games.

Thomas had 32 catches for the year, but he's right that the only one that people remember is that playoff catch. Thomas pulled in four TD catches and 551 yards. Thomas said the rest of the Broncos did start to get a little bit annoyed with the amount of press coverage that was Tebow-centric.

...but you know everything on ESPN was all about Tim. That bothered some players too because they would say ‘Tim Tebow Time.' I felt like it was a team thing. If it wasn't for the defense most of the time there wouldn't be no supposed ‘Tim Tebow Time.'

Ouch. True though. The Denver defense was just as responsible for their insane eight-game winning streak last year as Tebow was.

Now we know that other Denver players, like a lot of America, were getting tired of the attention all being put on Tebow. Thomas insists there wasn't tension in the locker room because they were winning. So what does Thomas think about Tebow playing in New York alongside starter Mark Sanchez

On the Jets behalf? [Takes a breath and sighs] I ain't going to say it was a good move, but I really don't know. I feel like Tim can get better, but it is going to take some time because he's gotta read the defenses and throwing patterns, but I feel like he thinks he can go out there and take Sanchez's spot. I ain't going to talk bad about Sanchez, but he's not one of the best quarterbacks in the game, so I feel good about Tim going out there.

Basically, if you thought Tebow was talked about a lot while winning games in Denver, wait until you see what happens in New York when he's not starting and the Jets lose a couple of games.

So what about Tebow on a reality show? He says no in the video below, but his life is about to become one in New York whether he wants it to or not.
