Michael Garcia - October 7, 2016
A few years ago when they announced that they were making yet another reboot of The Planet of the Apes series, I was dubious. When I heard that it starred James Franco, I was double dubious. But Rise of the Planet of the Apes and its sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes were pretty friggin' good, due in no small part to the motion capture genius of Andy Serkis as Caesar the main ape. Now we get all out battles between the humans and the apes in the third installment War For The Planet Of The Apes. The synopsis reads,
"Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins this own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet."
This teaser got me all pumped up. I'll have to wait until next July to see Caesar give it to the humans with his damn dirty ape hands.Â
