‘The Lone Ranger’ Teaser Trailer is Heavy on Trains, Light on Hi-Yo Silvers

If you ever wanted to know what would have happened if Jack Sparrow and William Blake had a child and named him Tonto, look no further than Johnny Depp in the new teaser trailer for The Lone Ranger. Also starring Armie Hammer, the film stars Johnny Depp, including an appearance by Johnny Depp, and stars Johnny Depp. If you can't pick up on the bit here, they're really hyping the fact that the film stars Johnny Depp (in a supporting role).

And in case you weren't sure if this was a Johnny Depp movie, Helena Bonham Carter shows up to remind you that this isn't an Armie Hammer movie (it is), but a Johnny Depp movie. Also starring British beauty Ruth Wilson (a treat for all us Luther fans), The Lone Ranger tries to succeed where films like Wild Wild West and Jonah Hex have failed, combining the Western with balls-to-the-wall action. And I wish it a fond good luck.
