TV & FILM

The release of The Avengers on DVD and Blu-ray has allowed us access to several scenes that Joss Whedon decided weren't good enough for us on the big screen. An alternate beginning to the superhero opus recently hit the web which would have set up the rest of The Avengers as flashback and also showed us that downtown New York was completely destroyed by IronMan, The Hulk and Captain America's actions.
It also showed us that Cobie Smulders' S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill had a problem with Nick Fury's methods and that there was a divide between the two of them. Something that wasn't apparent in the movie, probably because we were too busy staring at Smulders' ass.
This isn't the first time deleted scenes have emerged and changed the perspective of a movie, or in the case of Jackass and Anchorman just given us extra reasons to love it. Check out our list of the greatest deleted scenes of all time, starting with:
Jackass the Movie
