Sunday's events will live long in the memory, not just for those of the Blue and Red persuasion in Manchester but for soccer fans around the entire world.

City fans were prepared to turn to religion and sacrifice their first born child for a goal and  Sergio Aguero's 94th minute winner was so dramatic that it caused grown men to weep openly.

However in Sunderland, United supporters were left to think back to their past glories so that they could soften their loss but it still wasn't enough to ease the pain.

But how does it do compare to other Soccer finales from yesteryear? What are the most dramatic final minutes in the sport's history. Well, here are three games that will definitely rank up there with the achievement's of Roberto Mancini's men on the weekend.

Despite Manchester United's 2-0 defeat of Swansea, Manchester City still hold an +8 goal difference over their city rivals and only have to defeat QPR to end the campaign lifting the silver and golden trophy. And with Manchester City possessing the best home form in the league and QPR the worst away record it already seems like a foregone conclusion.

Is Lionel Messi A Filthy Racist?

Lionel Messi has been accused of a number of things. The greatest footballer to ever play the game? Check. A genius? Check. The next Maradona? Check. A racist? Um ... check, apparently. According to Royston Drenthe, a Real Madrid player who is currently on loan at English side Everton, Messi called him a 'negro' repeatedly during his time in Spain.

Drenthe was speaking to the Dutch magazine Helden where he says that he clashed with the diminutive Argie a number of times during his tenure in Spain, especially when he was on loan at Hercules.

"I played against (Messi) many times and we always have problems with each other," Drenthe said. "You know what bothers me so? That tone which he always says, 'negro, negro'. I understand that negro in South America is very common, but we cannot stand it.

Juventus Secure Italian Serie A Championship

Juventus wrapped up their 28th Serie A championship earlier this week, their first Italian title for nine years. Antonio Conte's men beat Cagliari 2-0 as their closest challengers AC Milan lost 4-2 to their cross city rivals Inter at the San Siro stadium.

This string of results meant that the Turin-based team were now four points clear with only one game left.

Mirko Vucinic's strike and an own goal from Michele Canini were enough for Juventus to win their encounters whilst the Milan derby will go down as one of the great modern games of soccer. 2-1 down early in the second half, Inter mounted a stupendous comeback which saw Diego Milito score a hat-trick, Maicon score a 30 yard stunner and also included 3 penaltys, one of which was missed.

Juventus's haul of 28 Serie A titles is now ten clear of AC Milan and Inter Milan with Genoa, Torino, Bologna and Pro Vercelli a further 9 championships behind.

Roy Hodgson Is Appointed The New England Manager

Well well well then, who saw this coming? Definitely not almost all of the English media that's for damn sure. The English Football Association have decided to appoint West Bromich Albion manager, Roy Hodgson as the new manager to the England national football team instead of the firm favourite Harry Redknapp.

Hodgson is a surprising yet appropriate choice for the position having previously managed in international football with UAE, Finland and Switzerland but it will be an arduous task for him to win over the plethora of players and fans who expected Redknapp to take the position.

The F.A seem to have decided that Hodgson's international experience is what has set him apart from the other candidates and he'll take up the position after W.B.A's last two fixtures.

Real Madrid Clinch La Liga Title

Real Madrid have won their 32nd Spanish league crown after a convincing 3-0 victory away at Athletico Bilbao. It was their first since 2008. Goals from Gonzalo Higuain, Mesut Ozil and Cristiano Ronaldo were enough to see them become champions despite Barcelona's 4-1 home win over Malaga.

Madrid now have a seven-point lead with just two games to go and their manager Jose Mourinho has become only the third coach, behind Ernst Happel and Giovanni Trapattoni, to lift league titles in four different countries after his previous triumph's with Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

However this victory for Mourinho will be extra special. For in doing so he has disposed the side that many have regarded as the masters of European football for the last half a decade, Barcelona. And even though they defeated them at the Nou Camp 11 days ago with a 2-1 victory they couldn't rest on their laurels until victory was assured.
