San Francisco Giants Win Game 7 to Complete Dramatic Comeback

With a 3-1 lead in the best of seven series it appeared to be just a matter of time before the St. Louis Cardinals were going to win the decisive fourth game, and head on to the World Series with hopes of winning back to back championships.

Three games later, and after being outscored 20-1 over those three games, the Cardinals are heading home and the San Francisco Giants are moving on!

Tigers Sweep New York in ALCS as Yankees Go Down Swinging (and Missing)

A rain out on Wednesday gave the Yankees another day to figure out how to get a win against the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS. With the way the game went the Yankees could have had a few weeks and still would have got their jocks handed to them.

Detroit could smell blood in the water going into Game 4, and didn't give the Yankees a chance from the start. Yankees Ace CC Sabathia was chased in the fourth inning after giving up 11 hits and six runs including a pair of two-run homers in the fourth inning by Jhonny Peralta and Miguel Cabrera.

A-Rod’s Flirt Buddy Has Been Identified and She’s an Australian Swimsuit Model

A-Rod Has Game!
Alex Rodriguez, 3B, New York Yankees
Just not a baseball one... Read More »

The man may be striking out at the plate—when he is actually playing that is—but the man sure knows how to pick ‘em when it comes to the ladies. In case you haven’t heard, the third baseman for the New York Yankees (do I really need to say that it’s Alex Rodriguez? Who doesn't know that?) was pulled from Game 1 of the ALCS, but he wasn’t done playing yet. He managed to pick up a babe sitting near the dugout.

Apparently a fan took offense to his lack of concern for the game as A-Rod and the woman tossed a baseball back and forth (supposedly to exchange phone numbers), and reported it to the media. You know those media types—they report anything! Now they have managed to find out who the lovely young lady is—Kyna Treacy, an Australian swimsuit model and designer for Kini Bikini.

Alex Rodriguez Doesn’t Strike Out Completely in ALCS

Plainly put, the New York Yankees can't hit and ultimately it will probably cost them a chance to go to their 41st World Series, and now down 0-3 in the ALCS, it's not looking very likely. Name the high-priced talent and chances are he's either fractured an ankle or had a hard time hitting the broad side of a barn.

No one's troubles have been publicized more than that of third baseman Alex Rodriguez. He was shifted down in the batting order and eventually benched in the ALDS in hopes that might spark him for the ALCS. It did--in a way; just not the way that the Yankees wanted.

Jayson Werth’s Walkoff Home Run Presented in Photo Essay Form

In case you missed it for some reason, Jayson Werth saved the Washington Nationals season for at least one more game with a dramatic, game-winning bomb last night. Even more ridiculous, it was the 13th pitch of the at-bat, as Werth was in a duel with Cardinals reliever Lance Lynn.

Any little kid who plays baseball dreams of getting a walkoff like this. Bottom of the ninth, game tied, lose and the season's over. Werth picked the perfect moment to get his first HR of this season's playoffs.

Of course it was wild on TV, on the radio...but here in picture form it's almost just as good.

MLB Postseason Full of Drama on and off the Field

When the Boys of Summer are whittled down to a select number on a few teams for the postseason, the hope is always to see the best of the best playing against each other for the right to be called World Series champions. If those guys can give fans a show to watch as they whittle that number down even more, well--no one's complaining!

So far the guys are doing just that for us. We've seen some stellar pitching, clutch hitting, home runs launched into the stratosphere, and just a few incredible catches that make you glad you can rewind the play with your DVR and watch it again.

While we love the action on the field a post season wouldn't be complete without a little off the field too. We've had star struck cops, field runners, angry fans, Bryce Harper going vampire on us, and the man with the most famous hair piece on Earth, The Donald.

As division play starts to look towards the league championship series' its time to catch up on all the action to date. Check out the gallery and you can do just that!

Who is Going to Make it to the World Series?

The MLB postseason begins tonight with two wild card teams from each league facing off in a one-game playoff. Come October 24 there will only be two teams left, one from each league, ready to battle it out for the right to be called World Champions.

Now the question that everyone is wondering and trying to predict is who will be there in the end. Can the Yankees make it back to the World Series for the first time since 2009? Can Texas get it together and make it back to the World Series for a third straight season?
