Aside from unveiling the new iPad last Wednesday, Apple chief Tim Cook also announced that the latest version of the OS was now available. iOS 5.1 includes a lot of interference tweaks and bug fixes and packs in some new features like a Japanese Siri, a Photo Stream, new podcast controls, a camera shortcut, and face detection.
As some of you might already know, updating is not recommended if you've jailbroken your device. Doing so will most likely end up undoing the jailbreak and rendering your jailbroken apps unusable. So if you've been hesitating to update for this reason, then here's a bit of news for you: a tethered jailbreak for the iOS 5.1 is already here, signed, sealed, and delivered.

Steve Jobs was never a huge fan of Flash. In fact, he hated it and wasn't afraid to let the whole world know the extent of his loathing. That said, you can pretty much conclude that Apple won't be adding support for Flash videos to their devices anytime soon.
