With the arrival of NCAA Football 13, we’re treated to the gameplay tweaks (pass trajectories!) and the annual reshuffling of players on every team featured in the game. It’s still a football video game, after all, so there’s only going to be so much you can change. Floating Ammo Counters Won't Help You

We should all be impressed that we're getting this kind of access to Dead Space 3 this early in the game's life cycle. Yes, the PS3 and Xbox 360 are on their last legs and publishers are shoveling games out of the video game factory as quickly as possible. However, you're getting the executive producer delivering a thoughts and insight to a 20-minute walkthrough for a game that doesn't come out until February. Things like this are very rare.

The first three months of 2013 are going to be very competitive with games like Dead Space 3, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite and who-knows-what-else supposedly coming out in that time frame.

The Star Wars Battlefront series gets credit for being the closest thing we've got to an open-world Star Wars action game. You could actually hop in and out of spaceships to fight enemies with lightsabers and blasters. It's appeal was that simple and that powerful. The third installment, Star Wars Battlefront III, never happened. Or, we should say, still hasn't happened because of bad timing, business decisions and all sorts of other stuff that doesn't matter to the consumer. You know what country is ready for a zombie attack? Japan. The Biohazard series (We know it as Resident Evil in the US) has been strong enough since the 1990s that everybody there knows what to do when you see a slow-walker ambling around looking for brains. That's part of what makes it so difficult to watch those chumps on "The Walking Dead" flirting and lollygagging around with zombies every week. It's a great show, but damn they need to get up on some Resident Evil 6 so they can handle zombies the way the need to be handled.

This footage of RE6 was, uh, liberated from Capcom's Summer Jam event and features several minutes of raw gameplay. It's not as dark and spooky as the real Resident Evil 6 is going to be because HD and proper sound make a huge difference. Just pay attention to the zombie behavior and the moves our hero, Leon Kennedy, make in this one.

New Super Mario Bros 2 Comes Stuffed with Gold (VIDEO)

There's So Much Gold Here

Yeah it's a 3DS game but that sound of collecting coins is irresistible, especially in these hard economic times. Plus we know a lot of you call yourselves "old school gamers." New Super Mario Bros 2 is for the 3DS (or 3DS XL if you like more letters and bigger screens) so you'll have to readjust your hand-eye coordination to have all of that fun.

One point should be noted: there's a tanker full of gold in this game. Between the Gold Rings (turns enemies into gold, they turn into gold when they die),Gold Mario (throws fireballs that turns blocks into coins) and Gold Block (Mario's head turns into a block of gold and then spews coins continuously) you're given a lot of tools to help you achieve the hallowed 1,000,000 coin achievement. And really even if you won't admit that you secretly wish you could throw fireballs that turned bricks into gold in real life, EVERYBODY wants gold coins to spew from their heads continuously. Don't even try to lie.

So these two video clips of Resident Evil 6 are both relatively light on action, heavy on mood and somewhat predictable if you've ever played a RE game or watched a zombie movie. With all of that said however, you'll want to get up on this like right now because you do get clear idea of what this game is going to be about. Assassin's Creed III will be a fantastic stealth-action game when it lands later this year and using Colonial North America as a setting looks like a gutsy move that's totally going to payoff. To help set that scene here's an extended video clip of our hero, Connor, operating in an historically accurate version of Boston. We're pretty sure this is a first for video games as we've run through games in accurate (and modern) versions of New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington DC, San Francisco, Paris, Hong Kong and many others but never Boston.

If you want to see Boston in the late 1700s then have a look at the clip. If you know of a video game that featured Boston as a setting, hit us up in the comments section. And no the TD Garden in NBA 2K doesn't count.
