The Lord of the Rings Online’s ‘Against the Shadow’ Update Revealed

Warner Bros. has officially announced the next update for their MMO 'The Lord of the Rings Online'. The update titled 'Against the Shadow' marks the ninth major update for the MMO, which is based off the widely successful Lord of the Rings trilogy written by the late J.R.R. Tolkien.

Bioshock Infinite Delayed…Again

According to Creative Director Ken Levine, Bioshock: Infinite has been delayed yet again.

Levine made the statement recently at a Bioshock Infinite event claiming, in the nicest way possible, that it was actually Epic's former Direction Manage, Rod Fergusson, who was to blame for the delay.

Normally when I talk about something that really bugs me here on Cold Coffee, it's something that has gradually become an issue as time went on, making the 'good old days' this shiny golden era where everything was better. Unfortunately, having some major controversy is nothing new for the video game industry. For a variety of reasons, there has always been a group that strongly disagreed with some aspect of a game, even way back to 'adult' games on the first generation of gaming consoles.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, which I'll be calling PASBR from here on out, hasn't even hit store shelves yet and it's already making a huge splash in the gaming community. With Super Smash Bros. quickly fading into obscurity, now is the time for a new franchise to take over the platform-wide tournament seat. PASBR has already gone gold on both Playstation 3 and Playstation VITA but why stop a good thing?

Back in the day, the video game industry wasn't as crazily complex as it is now. Yes, believe it or not, there was a time when games just came out. It didn't matter if they sucked and it didn't matter what the overall idea of it was. All we cared about was how cool the box art was. The job of a game developer wasn't so tainted back then either. Game developers used to just make something they thought was cool and that would be it. After months of guessing, speculation and all sorts of clamoring for details, Call of Duty: Black Ops II is upon us. We'll be back with a review shortly, but in the meantime sink your teeth into some wonderful Black Ops II media and info that we've collected for you this year. There's a name for this kind of roundup but we don't like the term "roundup" and haven't thought of anything better so, for now, it's just a collection.

Also here's a fun mini game: try to count the number of times we refer to this game using the "II" versus the "2" because we were totally inconsistent with that. Grand Theft Auto V Floods the Internet-o-sphere with Good Reason This Week

Yeah Call of Duty: Black Ops II is coming out this week, but you might not know for all of the Grand Theft Auto V news and excitement that’s about take over. The bonanza started with Game Informer --the greatest video game preview magazine of all time-- and will continue here on Egotastic!(!) and other places this week as we all await the next trailer for Grand Theft Auto V.

The new trailer drops Wednesday morning at 8AM PT right here and we’ll immediately be looking to put pieces of the puzzle together. Combining what we see in that video with what we’ve learned in Game Informer’s preview, previous screenshots, the announcement trailer, fake websites and other sources will give us the most complete picture of what to expect this coming Spring.
