I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing about cars. Don't know my pistons from my shocks or my V-8s from my Ocean Sprays. But I do know a lot about girl-on-girl scenes. Maybe it was my time as a creative consultant on The L Word, or perhaps it was that year I spent as a prison guard at an all-female penitentiary in the backwoods of Louisiana, but I've earned a PhD in Cat Fights that hangs framed on my wall. And that's why when I heard about the Michelle Rodriguez/Gina Carano brawl in Fast and Furious 6, I knew I was in for something special.

If you've seen any of the trailers for the movie, then you know I'm not spoiling anything when I reveal that Rodriguez is returning to the franchise as Letty, the role she originated in 2001's The Fast and the Furious and although she was back behind the wheel in Fast and Furious, the character took a one-movie death hiatus, only to return once again. As for Rodriguez, you don't get your start in a movie called Girl Fight and not know how to kick some ass. And coming from a background of MMA fighting, well--Let's just say Gina Carona could probably take me apart limb by limb with only one hand. And I'd love every minute of it. Read More » »

Six Car Stunt Videos from ‘Fast and Furious 6′ Tease an Explosive Sequel (VIDEO)

Fast and Furious 6 Stunt Video
Hey JLin, We Want More Action!

Fast cars, sexy ladies, and heart-racing car chases are three things that have never been absent in a Fast and Furious movie, and director Justin Lin has no plans in changing that formula up for the fifth sequel in the franchise.

Filming for Fast and Furious 6 is well under way in various locations. And while you might be treated to fast-paced car chase segments and explosions that look like they could actually kill somebody, that's really not what goes down when they're shooting those scenes.

Six videos of the Fast and Furious 6 crew filming various stunts on Tenerife, which is the largest of the seven Canary Islands, were recently made online by FilmStarts.de and we've got them all for you right here.

Hit the jump for five more clips from the making of Fast and Furious 6, which hits theaters on May 24th next year. Enjoy!

Sequel Talk: What’s Up with ‘Kick-Ass 2′, ‘Fast & Furious 6′, and ‘Captain America 2′

The sequel to Dumb and Dumber might be in limbo, but Kick-Ass 2 sure isn't. And that might be good news to fans of the most unconventional superhero movie in Hollywood, because it'll mean that Jim Carrey will have a free schedule and more time on his hands so he can join the cast of Kick-Ass 2. If he wants to, that is. News just broke that Universal Pictures wants him to play Colonel Stars in the movie, and it would be awesome if he took on the role. It is Jim, after all.

While things might be heating up on the set of Fast & Furious 6, it looks like the cast still have time to chill and have a laugh or two with each other off-camera. Dwayne Johnson has been keen to share updates on the sixth movie of the franchise by posting photos and timely tweets, and so is the movie's official Twitter feed, which has just released a candid shot of the other stars of the movie, namely Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and director Justin Lin.

Finally, we've got Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This sequel has been a long time coming. We all know Chris Evans will be back as the one and only titular character, but who will be joining him as his leading lady? The NY Post recently revealed the shortlist of the female lead for the movie, and they're all pretty amazing gals: Anna Kendrick, Imogen Poots and Felicity Jones. But of course, there can only be one. Who's got your vote?

Sequel Talk: What’s Up with ‘Fast & Furious 6′, ‘Iron Man 3′, and ‘Kick-Ass 2′

Fast cars, hot girls, and Dwayne Johnson. Those are three things you can expect from Fast and Furious 6, where you can expect another heist of magnanimous proportions. Filming for the sixth movie in the franchise officially began at the end of last month, and already things look like they're heating up. Johnson recently tweeted a picture of himself with co-star Gina Carano, offering the world a peek at what the gang have in stored for all of us.

It looks like Iron Man is currently going through a rough patch. The real Iron Man, that is. Robert Downey Jr. was injured on the set, which caused the production for Iron Man 3 to be temporarily shut down. Marvel revealed that Downey had sustained an ankle injury, although they didn't offer any specifics on what happened. Thankfully, the injury seems to be minimal so it looks like the movie will screen as announced on May 3, 2013.

Two new faces are set to join the already supercharged cast of Kick-Ass 2. It's unconventional as far as superhero movies (and stories) go, so we're definitely excited for this one. Morris Chestnut will be taking on the role that Omari Hardwick played in the first movie, where he'll be serving as the guardian of Chloe Moretz's Hit-Girl. Meanwhile, Robert Emms will be playing a policeman who takes on a secret identity as Insect Man so he can do things that he normally wouldn't be allowed to under the law.

Sequel Talk: What’s Up with ‘Thor 2′, ‘Independence Day 2′, and ‘Fast & Furious 6′

Hollywood sure has a lot of sequels lined up. One movie is often not enough to conclude each character's story, so sequels are the best way to go. And when a movie franchise is lucrative and managed to make a killing at the box office, then you can expect a sequel or two to come in the next few years because it would be a shame for both the fans and studios to pass up on them.

This week we've got updates for Thor 2, Independence Day 2, and Fast & Furious 6. But before that, a little back story on each:

  • Thor is all about the powerful and arrogant son of the mighty Odin, who sends Thor off to Earth to teach him a lesson or two about humility. The second movie sends Thor off to another adventure, this time in the dark world.
  • Independence Day has humans bent on stopping an impending invasion by hostile extra-terrestrials. While it's been sixteen years since that movie hit, producer Dean Devlin says it won't be long until the second installment hits the theaters.
  • Fast & Furious is one franchise that puts two things that guys love the most together: fast cars and hot women. Two new stars join the regular cast for the sixth movie: Joe Taslim and the gorgeous Clara Paget.
