Honestly, there were so many pre-Grammy parties over the weekend, it’s impossible to keep track. They all honored somebody or something very worthy I’m certain. I know the chicken was overcooked at most events and it was impossible to get a drink or three. Still, the hotties came out which means our periscopes were raised, both literally and figuratively, including this Industry Icons event where Paula Patton, Shannon Elizabeth, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and many others came out to show off their cleavage, the best cause of all really.
As much as I lambaste awards season, it is also high season for decked out sextastic celebrities. If that’s your thing, it’s one of mine, then this is your high season as well. And you didn’t even have to pay $500 a ticket to get that bad chicken. Enjoy.
I can’t say I’m a huge fan of pop-rapping Australian crooner Iggy Azalea. I can say I feel like I’ve had a whole mess of her thumper in my face this weekend after seeing her booty baring pre-Grammys performance. She really is not shy about putting her entire butt meat out there on display as she sings her important songs about important sings not so importantly.
I guess pop music acts have kind of always counted on the derriere to accelerate awareness of their music, though this might be an entirely new level. Or an entirely new amount of badonkadonk to showcase. Either way, I’m going to call the performance musically memorable, without actually making note of the music. Enjoy.
You know I’m not a big fan of awards shows. I’m not a big fan of tears and drama and shtick just so artists who already do quite alright for themselves can spend an evening handing each other trophies. Trophies are for Little League kids. Adults don’t really need trophies. Maybe if you invent a cure for cancer or something you get something for your mantle. But not singing a catchy ditty.
Nevertheless, the awards shows like the Grammys do bring out the sextastic celebrities, including the performers like Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Pink, all of whom felt the artistic obligation to flash their booties and crotches for the cameras in advancement and enhancement of their audio arts. It was quite a show in that regard. Somehow I’ve omitted Madonna and her top hat and cane. Oops. Enjoy.
The theme so far on the red carpet at the 56th Grammy Awards seems to be glamor. Read that as not a heck of a lot of skin. Which is rather odd given the amount of skin used to promote and sell modern music. But I suppose everybody is allowed to pretend.
Stay tuned throughout the pre-show to this ever growing gallery of arrivals on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, including Taylor Swift, Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, Anna Kendrick, Ariana Grande, Miranda Lambert, and more. Enjoy.
