SyFy’s ‘Heroes of Cosplay’ First Look Shows-Off More Cos Than Play (VIDEO)

SyFy's got a new reality show, Heroes of Cosplay, that will follow the creative ladies of 'con as they assemble their most revealing and geekiest costumes. We're really counting the 'most revealing' part, frankly

The extended first look, however is not helping that out. In the video, we have lots of chicks stressing over  costume details and idiosyncrasies of minute minutiae. We only get the odd glimpse of cleave and none of the states of somewhat undress. Does SyFy know its audience? (Yes, thanks to Sharknado, they certainly know the bulk of it.) But lines like, 'We cosplayers don't just think 'I wish I could become that character.' We do everything we can to become that character,' make me think that this is going to be more about the Cos than the Play.

Look, I really hope that Cosplay will not be one of those things that sounds awesomer in theory -- like the sort of thing where the concept knows the audience, but the delivery does not. Because, if there's one thing this world needs is sexier and more revealing cosplay ladies.
