‘Street Fighter’ In Real Life: Like Street Fighter, But With Many, Many Wang-Punches

  Oftentimes, suspension of disbelief is vital to your enjoyment of a TV show/movie. My girl’s a great one for that’d never happen or that should’ve killed him or why are there mothereffing snakes on this mothereffing plane, that sort of thing, but I’m much more forgiving.  

Shortcuts and liberties-amundo have to be taken at times. This isn’t some nerdly fact-tastic documentary about Ancient Egyptian Pharoahs' toilet habits. This is entertainment, and entertainment has to be entertaining. ‘Entertaining’ sometimes having the meaning of 'totally batshit.'

Case in point. Science has already told us that a Street Fighter Dragon Punch, the legendary Shoryuken, would take your goddamn head clean off in real life. But a Mortal Kombat-style ending to every match would upset Little Jimmy, so the fighters just jump straight back up like nothing happened.

Here is the real world, things are a little different. Much more brutal. Youtube’s RackaRacka has made a real-life Street Fighter brawl, and it’s a hell of a thing. Dhalsim steals the show with his rubbery limbs and totally realistic levitating, but M.Bison’s super camp costume is a close second. Take a look, it’s nicely done.
