Sharknado 2: The Second One aired last night on the SyFy channel. Was it as "good" as the first one? No. The first one which caught the world by surprise last summer and created an sudden, unprecedented joke-a-thon on Twitter. Those circumstances simply could not be duplicated.

That being said, Sharknado 2 was still pretty awesome. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid both reprised their roles from the first "film," and this time they were joined by Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Judd Hirsch, Kurt Angle, Billy Ray Cyrus, Judah Friedlander, Perez Hilton, Richard Kind, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Kelly Rippa, Michael Strahan and, last but not least, Andy Dick. So yeah, it was a pretty special television event.

If you missed it, however, don't bother going back and watch it now. Half the fun it catching it live and following along on Twitter. Instead, just look at the GIFs, the best of which we have for you here. There's a flight attendant getting her head bit off on a plane...there's flaming sharks falling from the sky...there's the head of the Statue of Liberty rolling down the street...there's Tara Reid getting her hand bitten off...there's Tara Reid slicing a shark in half with the rotary saw that replaced her hand...and of course, there's Ian Ziering impaling a shark on the top of the Empire State Building.

Enjoy!

There. Now you've basically seen Sharknado 2. Pretty great, wasn't it?
