Season 3 Of ‘Boardwalk Empire’: What Can We Expect From It’s Cavalcade Of Real-Life Criminals?

Gangsters have it easy. Well, except for the whole dying in a storm of bullets thing, but that's par for the course with these guys and anyway up until that point they have live the life of kings, "Damn hell ass kings!" as Bart Simpson would say.

But Boardwalk Empire has shown us the intimate details of running such an organisation. Steve Buscemi's Nucky Thompson is the king of Atlantic City and having basically destroyed all of his enemies at the end of last season has no one to disrupt his authority.

Of course, that would make for a pretty boring TV show and with season 3 of Boardwalk having started on Sunday evening, no one wants that. So expect someone to come in and threaten Nucky. Yet, with the series based on the real-life escapes of prohibition gangsters we already know what they've got coming to them.
