Production on Iron Man 3, currently filming in North Carolina, has been temporarily halted due to an on-set injury to Robert Downey Jr. yesterday. While performing a stunt for the film, 47-year old RDJ injured his ankle, causing the delay for the much anticipated sequel being directed by Lethal Weapon writer Shane Black.

Boo hoo, an injured ankle is nothing. Also, the beauty of performing inside a a suit of armor is that the director can yell cut, the almost 50-year old actor can step out and the 20-year old stunt double can step into the costume and nobody would be any the wiser.

While we wish RDJ a speedy recover as everything about Iron Man 3 already sounds better than anything from Iron Man 2, we take a look at some real on-set accidents, the kind that don't have happy Hollywood endings.
