If Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle proved nothing else, it's that The Rock Johnson can make even the flimsiest of premises work thanks to his effortless charm and charisma. Fortunately, the filmmakers also surrounded him with talented co-stars like Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan, whereas this past Spring's Rampage saddled him with a bunch of cgi creations including an ape, Joe Manganiello, a lizard, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a werewolf, and Rugrat from The Wolf of Wall Street.

Just in time for Skyscraper to hit theaters this weekend, the good folks over at Screen Junkies have thrown together a funny Honest Trailer for Rampage, reminding us all that The Rock Johnson's charisma alone cannot carry a movie. While not a home run, it's got some pretty funny stuff in it, including a hilarious dig at Vin Diesel.

I personally still haven't seen Rampage, though this Honest Trailer kinda confirms why. It just doesn't look like as much fun as a movie about giant monsters destroying a city should. That's a slam dunk intentionally stupid movie, in my book, so why glum it up with character development? No one buying a ticket gives a damn about any of that, just give these people what they want already. Is that really too much to ask?
