President Obama sat down with Zach Galifianakis to film an episode of Between Two Ferns. In case you've never seen Between Two Ferns, it's a fake talkshow on which Galifianakis pretends to be an idiot and mocks his guests. Normally, a sitting US President wouldn avoid such a format, but since Obama is desperately trying to court young people for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare, to most people), I guess he was willing to go slumming.



All politics aside, the video was actually pretty funny. Galifianakis brought up everything from Obama's birth certificate to the fact that the Healhtcare.gov website wasn't working properly when it launched. And Obama managed to get in a few obviously-scripted zingers about Galifianakis' weight. Of course, some people aren't going to like the fact that the most powerful man on the planet is wasting time with Zach Galifianakis, but it's a step up from Jay Leno, IMO.
