There's No Guillermo Del Toro - It made perfect sense for the Labryinth director to replace Jackson in the hot-seat for The Hobbit. In fact it seemed only logical. The two were working in tandem, with Jackson now a producer, to create the perfect addition to the Lord of the Rings series, but then, because of ongoing delays, Del Toro left the project, and the cinematic world's heart sank. Jackson was the only man who could step into his shoes, and all we can do now is dream of Del Toro's interpretation. It's still hard to think about it.
