Resident Evil 4 changed a lot of things for the long-standing Resident Evil franchise. It became a fan favorite among veteran gamers and was a strong jumping on point for those who had never played the series before. Resident Evil 4 also introduced a whole new group of enemies and creatively designed bosses, with one of the most terrifying being Verdugo. Many people probably won’t recognize the name but will definitely recognize the picture. This son of a bitch is one of two personal guards to one of the game’s main antogonists ‘Ramon Salazar’. Yes, that’s right; that little kid who was actually a middle aged man, who still acted like a little kid for some reason. When Salazar sends Verdugo to hunt you down and finish you off, there’s that sense of dread you get just knowing that he’s coming and you’re going to face him sooner or later. The adrenaline builds as the fight draws nearer and the game shows Verdugo gaining on you quickly. The fight itself is one of those moments where it’s all about the ‘jump at you’ scares and your reaction time.
